First off I am mixed, black and white, so this is by no way a racist statement. I have noticed that *some* black women, including educated ones, have a hard time carrying on a deep conversation. Shallowness among AA women is profound. So much focus on image, not enough on developing the mind. You can have perfect hair, nails, clothes, car, job, but a pretty face and image is only going to take you so far. What about travel?(and not to Atlanta,Houston or DC) Politics? History? The ability to be diplomatic and think abstractly? I have two brothers (mixed) and they dated black girls in high school, but as adults, they say there is not much to black girls after you get past the booty and the beauty. Black girls are too worried about what men can do for them.
One poster on here said to try new things, and they were dead right! Whats wrong with trying Ethiopian food, or going Skiing, hiking, surfing? STEP OUTSIDE OF THE BOX

In all fairness, many blondes (esp the ones I've encountered) tend to be the same way, hence the stereotype.

The thing I notice is the age when black women settles for a "nerd" usually is the reason why they're seemingly "not enough good black men." You don't have the insurmountable preference for thugs and lowlifes from women of other races, especially Asians, Indians, and Middle Easterners/Arabs.
That's not quite as true as you'd like to believe. In fact, one of the things that has bothered me about BM/WW is that alot of WW see BM as being "thugs", and find that exciting and alluring. It's sad becuase BM who aren't thugs get passed up becuase a W/L/AW will think "Well, if he isn't "urban", then I midas well stick to my own."

There are good black men out there. You're just picky. I'm one of them. Depending on what you like however, I might be one of your rejects.

AIDS is the leading cause of death for Black women ages 18-25 and they are contracting it from black men on the down low. A lot of black men don't have any goals and don't seek decent jobs. I used the word 'seek' because I know the economy is rough right now. Black men abandon their kids more than other races. Black men date outside of their race more. The list and discussion goes on but I feel like I'm badgering black men when what I'm stating is true. These are reasons why black women lose in the marriage game and white girls got it made.

Of course it's easier to find a thug, and that's the kind most black women go for. They aren't checking for the respectful dudes, they want the gangster gold-teeth wearing, gun-toting type of black men. Good black men like me don't feel the need to advertise ourselves, we're on the DL (NOT IN THE HOMOSEXUAL WAY).
