If he's having intercourse with someone that is still technically "half man", and enjoying it more than being with a woman, yes he's gay. No matter how you want to dress it up, a pre-op tranny is still a man and you full well know it.
I agree that he shouldn't worry about labels so much, but he clearly is.
That being said, it sounds like he's (at least mostly) heterosexual and just has a fetish for transsexuals and cross-dressing. The fact that he says he's not generally attracted to "regular-looking" men says a lot. Generally, gay men are attracted to *men*, not male-to-female transsexuals. Also, most cross-dressers are in fact straight men, and they aren't into it because of gender confusion or latent homosexuality (most gay men aren't cross-dressers)...it's because women's clothing are a source of sexual arousal for them. Gay men don't generally become aroused by women's clothing.
I do have a friend that told me she's maybe 3% gay and 97% straight because she had a lesbian experience with her gay roommate when she was in the Army. I saw an episode of Oprah once that focused on gay and lesbian people that had been married to the opposite sex and then switched, and one lady even switched back. I agree there isn't necessarily "gay" or "straight", there can be varying degrees of both.
hes never had it[penis in his butt] and has rejected sex with dudes.
so your assessment isnt over the top, its just stupid... not be crude or anything.
