A smart, sharp and witty person with a keen mind is a sexy quality to me. Voice is sexy too, especially the British accent. I'm talking about a man or woman who is always quick with an intelligent response. No "ummmmms.........". How do you feel about this? Does it do anything for you?

Despite being a really nice person, if they were just plain stupid, would it attract you?

Intelligence is a major turn-on for me. Stupidity, on the other hand, incenses me in a way I can't quite describe. Even if it's combined with niceness -- which it usually isn't.

I have a British accent. and can hold my own in reasoned discussion too. lol.

I respect intelligence, and don't think it's a nothing quality (like society does).

I love intelligent people seasoned with humility and wit. I despise arrogance and I sometimes find intelligent people have a tendency towards it.

I don't mind stupid people though, they are what they are and if they're nice people, I can deal with it.

In my personal life though I always gravitate towards educated/clever people. They inspire and invigorate the mind.

I am definitely attracted to intelligence, yes. But as an academic I meet a lot of bright people and I find that smarts definitely are NOT aren't enough to get my juices flowing. The brightness has to be coupled with a positive, upbeat attitude. They have to be kind and caring, have a cheerful demeanor. And their intelligence cannot be too esoteric or "out there" for me -- I most like a mix of some high brow intellectualism AND some "real world" intelligence too. I often meet people who are very smart and know everything under the sun about, say, Brazilian literature but nothing about U.S. politics; people who are experts in fluorine chemistry but ignorant about business; skilled surgeons whose knowledge of travel is zilch. I really like women with well rounded knowledge and intelligence, women who have intellectual curiosity about all sorts of things. THAT is a big turn on for me.

Me too. I could not have said it better.

The worst ones are those with average intelligence who want you to think they're smart. Blaaaahhhhhhh

Always preferred intelligence over looks. My attraction towards a man always starts on the mental level first.
