The Bible And Christianity -- The Historical Origins

I have been doing a lot of reading lately and came across this website. Totally fascinating! There is a lot of info on this link, but the one that pops out at me is about the story of the Exodus. I was always taught (when I was in church) that everything in the Bible is documented history. Apparently it is not. Anyone else have any opinions on all this?

Fascinating! No Egyptian documentation of the events described in Exodus?

There's no Egyptian documentation of how the pyramids were built either. Try to figure that one out.

Uh.... Hello! Aliens built the pyramids! Lol!

Okay I do know that from what I read that the Egyptians kept meticulous records of events. It would be odd for them to leave out the events that Exodus is claiming happened.

There is no Egyptian record of a global flood either. Odd that they should miss that one. Building pyramids when you are 5 miles under water would have been a feat worthy of note eh?

Yes there is! The Egyptians called the Hebrews, Hyksos.

See: Hyksos - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It is too bad that the timeline for the Egyptian pharohs is messed up. Many of the pharohs served concurrent, not consecutively as most modern Egyptologist like to think. The reason they believe this is because it gives Egypt a longer amount in time in history and hence appears greater then it really is. If we compensate for this enflated timeline of the Egyptian dynasties, the Hyksos conincide with the Hebrews in Egypt.

The Hyksos being expelled from Egypt is the Exodus as reccorded in the bible. Of course the Egyptian will not admit to a defeat and distruction of their lands and Pharoh and armies in the Red Sea.

Perhaps not...but their enemies certainly would be shouting it from the rooftops if it had happened. So do you have anything on that score?
