Misconception

The major misconception about the bible is that it is a historical document describing literal physical events of this world. It is for SPIRITUAL guidance and edification NOT WORLDLY or carnal. It has many uses to provide spiritual enlightenment and hope. The interpretation of it without clear knowledge or understanding of any of them ("spirit" of the passages) is ignorance . . . and people who believe it literally ("letter" of the passages) are rightly called ignorant . . . no matter how intelligent they are, IMO.
