There was sediment on top of the Canadian Shield after the flood, but it has since eroded away. --Eusebius

The reason some places don't have sedimentary rock is as the continent was rising the flood waters washed all the sediment from that area and deposited it in other areas, not to mention the glaciers carried a lot of it to the south of you.

I didn't say that and you could get in trouble violating the TOS for saying I said that.

Let me ask you again eub. Why does the whole world have to flood for that story to be useful in teaching us to be ready? what, is it like? my god has a bigger flood?
What do you think?

Next they will actually be telling us the mesas out in the western U.S. and the Grand Canyon were formed via the aeolian process.

Clinging to delusions in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary simply underscores how frightened some people are.

They must not allow a single, wee crack in their belief bubble, lest their whole world poof into nothingness.

Sad.

I don't understand why people choose to ignore facts for any reason. From "not relevant to me" on through to the need for an Omni-dude holding your hand. I wouldn't be shocked if you are an atheist just trying to push absurdity to get your way.

so please answer me "why does the flood have to be literal." for you.

It's more than sad. Especially when people are indoctrinated with the delusional belief bubble since childhood.

I agree. I have family members whose lives have been horrifically affected by their parent's fundamentalist biblical idiocy.
