....... cause a knuckle dragging republican {shock} state senator James Forrester has so decreed it.

Quote:
The topic of how voters would feel about a gay marriage referendum came up at the meeting. That sparked some discussion about how residents of larger North Carolina cities, like Charlotte and Chapel Hill, feel about the issue.

Forrester then called the city of Asheville “a cesspool of sin.”
Activists say gay marriage forum turned ugly | marriage, senate, gaston - Gaston Gazette (http://www.gastongazette.com/news/marriage-60714-senate-gaston.html - broken link)

It seems the republican party has no bottom as they pursue the vote of the christian hate.

Rest easy, Asheville... It won't be long before that very man is caught in the men's room of a Denny's giving oral sex to an overweight truck driver. It happens almost every single time one of these holier-than-thou right wing nutjobs makes a proclamation against homosexuals. Then it'll just be time to laugh.

I'll have to invite Jimmy up for a visit...and bring him to work with me for a day/night.
I assure you, he will have a whole new perspective!
MOF...he'll think whatever the scene he came from in Asheville, is a monastery/convent trip.

Default Last seen entering a slum tenement house...

Yup; this sort of "We Know Best for Your Soul!!" philosophizing is why I personally can't abide the standard Republican Party. Lord knows what they'd institute if'n they REALLY landed a super-majority!

Q: why can't we have a nice politically moderate, fiscally responsible group who is entirely secular? Lord? Why won't you let us have just that one little treat? Huh? Lord?

Where are you Lord? You down in those Asheville slums perchance?

What would you expect from a vile bigoted toad who lives in the overflowing sewer of his own tiny little mind.

No...it was our Creator who decreed what is sin and people are supposed to want to obey and respect that for our OWN protection (individually and for an entire nation) . Further, everyone knows what is right from wrong and because we chose to suppress our moral conscience so we can do as we like , doesnt change something that is wrong to right and permissable. Lastly, its not a Political Party preference...for, i know Democrats that refuse to buy into the national dumbing down of America when it comes to immoral/sexually deviant lifestyle choices (aka: Cesspool of Sin) .

Gays and lesbians have every right to be their lifestyleModerator cut: delete Morality should never be in political nor religious hands, politicians and the religious are notorious for abusing the system.

The sooner America decides religion has no place in the political arena, the better off the US will be.

True, people have freewill choice to live correctly or wrongly as they decide with choosing correct living as virtuous . True, morality is not part of any political system --- moral oughtness is engrained in all of us. True, Secular Humanism shouldnt be part of the Political arena either.

Morality is acquired from your parents and societal norms and mores. It is not built-in except as a propensity to follow the instructions of the people tending to your needs as a child.
