I play the piano and I am made aware that all the sounds are within 'Him".
They were created by "Him".
The air that they vibrate in ...it's all 'Him".
Him, Him, Him....He is under my feet, under my thumb on the gate latch...
I am in love with my Creator, Father, God.
Sigh ...how do you notice or love God or feel His Divine Presence?
He fills me like a warm Cognac on a Winter night...
I actually have to stop typing...to give you a chance.
Ah, another morning...I lay in the dark and the calm and breathe
in the peace that is all around me.
My awareness immediately goes to His Presence.
Like an actor preparing for a performance, close your eyes
on this stage alone...feel the depth inside yourself that just goes
so deep within...it never ends...feel the confidence His Love
gives you.

Miss H, I'm afraid the piano sounds are created by you playing the piano. Give credit where it is due. I'm sure you play lovely melodies, composed by lovely people. And no less beautiful for that. I'm sure that any god worth his salt would not want to be introduced into that lovely picture as an unnecessary entity. He would say, "you made that, good for you (and Chopin)".

Sounds like It's Raining Men at your place.
Does it ever feel like a "Her"? If not, do you ever question why not?
There is no escaping God's presents .
David wrote of this,
and after I had invited Jesus into my life that realization came to me as well.
He does not invade ,if any thing we are the invaders to His domain. OMNIPRESENT.
He knows the thoughts and intents of our thinking ,not only knowing the how we are made but our motivations.
Jesus provided the Holy Spirit so one can know and commune with God the way He intended from the beginning.
I am in love with my Creator, Father, God.

Ahh, Miss Hepburn, you're one of those people with whom I could never be a militant atheist. You're obviously quite happy in your beliefs - ecstatic, even.
But when it comes to anything divine ... I don't feel a thing.

It may be constitutionally how some people are. Gods aside, I am taking a secular mindfulness meditation class in an effort to give that practice a fair run and as objective a trial as I can. Others in the class report this or that benefit, I can report ... nothing. Altered state of consciousness / peak experiences are just not something I ever experience.
I think meditation is often looked to for direct benefits when in fact it's only an indirect path to the actual benefit -- not some alleged hidden beauty in the present moment, but awareness of the present moment (which may happen to be quite sucky, depending on what's going on) in order to disabuse you of your attachments to particular outcomes in life. It teaches you to become an impartial observer and assessor or What Is. To quit identifying with your emotions and reactions or the illusion of a permanent, fixed self, so that you don't confuse those things with an actual self-identity.
I suspect much religious practice is like this; it is, in Buddhist terminology, a case of the religious practice pointing one towards the moon, and people become fascinated with the "finger" that's pointing rather than what it's pointing at.

I have always respected your stance...I hope I have expressed that
before.
As you know or may remember, I don't understand why anyone
believes in something they have not directly experienced.
Have a great Fall day.
Oh, and I hope all here know I am certainly on no mission
to change or convince anyone of anything...I am truly too self absorbed
to care about anyone else's path.
This thread was to share other's wonderful experiences of the Presence.
I pass over those that want to change me...as if they could change what
I am feeling anyway...puzzling to me they try.
