Faith with no money means you're a poor, homeless person who prays. Wealth with no faith means you have everything you need and want, just no imaginary friends...
I fail to see the relationship between the two, but my answer is that there are things that I won't do in order to gain money, because they are against my faith.
That doesns't mean that there are any issues with legitimately earned fortunes. There are no violations of my religion involved. Maybe OP can explain why he thinks that one must choose between them?

Wealth is easily against what the Bible character Jesus taught, if that is your religious persuasion.
I'd say faith. Like what you said above, faith keeps me hanging on to the possibility of ______.
