For all their blustering, atheists will never be able to get rid of God, or His Holy Spirit in believers hearts. In the long run, they are totally powerless, and will accomplish nothing of lasting value.
Right now, my bets are on Allah. Seems like his followers are more formidable than God's followers.

Actually, all metrics show that that is exactly what atheists are doing and quite effectively, and the fundamentalists are seemingly powerless to stop the disintegration of their ability to dupe the weak-minded into believing their pointlessly self-ratifying nonsense. However, that's beside the point, perhaps. The disintegration of the foundation for fundamentalist belief is spurred on by a number of other factors as well. One of the most prominent is the rejection of fundamentalism itself. Another is the recognition that fundamentalism is arbitrary, so therefore other conceptions of the divine are equally valid alternatives. In the long run, fundamentalists are totally powerless, and will accomplish nothing of lasting value. They'll just spend a lot of time and energy which could be devoted toward doing good in the world instead wasting it in a vain attempt to dupe the weak-minded into vacuous compliance with nonsensical dogma.
Funny, it's never been a problem for many decades until atheists started raising a big stink over it.
Why do you keep assuming atheists are the only ones smart enough to figure out that it is a bad idea having a government bureaucrat deciding which religion you should turn to in times of need?

I'll go with the fundys with God on their side, as opposed to atheists with their intellectual superiority on their side. No contest!
When I last was in Germany, I saw a big cross on a dining room wall of the Bavarian hotel I was staying in. Evidently nobody there demanded that it be taken down. In other countries a cross on the wall or a bible in a hotel room is a non-issue. Only in the US both Christians and atheists get their panties in a knot over things like that.
Jefferson's condensed composition is especially notable for its exclusion of all miracles by Jesus and most mentions of the supernatural, including sections of the four gospels which contain the Resurrection and most other miracles, and passages indicating Jesus was divine.
If fundamentalists are OK with the government teaching this as the factually correct view of Jesus who am I to argue?
Unfortunately there's nothing else to go on. All we have is various people's feelings on the subject. If we had any hard data to work with there would be a lot fewer atheists.

At least you're honest.
