I am intrigued by it yet the idea of exiting my body into some astral realm, while i don't really believe it can be done, still it messes with the mind and I fear can cause irreparable harm to the psyche. But I'd love to talk to someone who I trust who can tell me what they have experienced.
Don't bother with it. You have enough here to be concerned about.
And you would be so ripe for being bambuzzled by spirits over there.
Yes, I have left my body (just like a dead person lifting up and out when they die...)...disorienting at first...
no gravity, dontchaknow, like when you're flying in a small plane and the pilot plays around so you don't know where the horizon is...did that in the Keys with a friend's buddy).
When you have a dream that you were flying around some where and it was very real...
you were in the astral flying around.
But, don't believe me...feel it out for yourself.
we part ways at this point my man. I feel our purpose is like that of a seed casing.
how can you connect and join something you are already part of? how can my gizzard connect to me?
I know, I know. Gizzard is just a funny word.
I understand your point, Arach, but our consciousness is embryonic and will only achieve its purpose after it has developed sufficiently to be reborn upon our death to join the substrate that establishes our Reality. Our disagreements pose no problem for our central agreement about our role as just part of a larger life system (God).

You are a very interesting person, Miss Hepburn.
I know someone who said she had OBR's at will when she was a kid and 'visited' her neighbors house and observed them watching tv. She didn't ask them to confirm what they had been watching though - pity.
OBE's have been induced in the lab under CT scan and areas of the brain involved observed. These studies might indicate that OBE's are hallucinations, however, none of the subjects had previous uninduced OBE's and therefore could not make a comparison to the 'real thing'.
Then there were studies by Dr Parnia, 2014.
Quote:
..... Only two out of the 152 patients reported any visual experiences, and one of them described events that could be verified.[127] The two NDEs occurred in an area were "no visual targets had been placed".
I keep an open mind on the subject. If out of body consciousness is fact then the possibility of there being a 'higher being' could be considered but that does not translate into a creator god and in my opinion, no 'inspired by God biblical writing'. It just means there could be more to this world than we can measure.

The bold is an established fact - 95+% of our Reality is NOT measurable directly.
When I was 27 I had a room mate...she asked me if I felt anything weird in the night (separate rooms). No.
Turns out her 'now husband'...had a gift...he could AP all over the place...so he told her he visited her in her at the foot of her bed....
Boy, did she ever yell at him and told him to never do anything like that again!
She told me she felt this eerie feeling.
Btw, he was taking a class so he could learn more about all of his gifts.

its funny that people cannot talk about a "god thing" set of traits separate from a personal statement of belief about god and religion.
of course, like trout points out, believers (in something) will out number deny everything because fundy think types just counter observation and reason in almost everything.
Oh my...I never put that together! ...
Of course, it would have! Blimey.
The fish bowl doesn't seem all that bad Miss H. it seems so easy not to have to think about a personal statement of belief about religion/god and how it relates to what we see around us.
pointing fingers at "them" is way easier than looking in the mirror.
