They can only delve into the easy problem, things we are wired for.

It's not illegal, it's just not necessarily scientific.

Therapy isnt a science.
It is illegal to talk about
God in psychological therapy,
you will lose your license.

That's not completely accurate, though a therapist is not supposed to be engaged in proselytism.

The other side, or the hard problem, which entails the non physical mind or spiritual aspect of mentality ,
is ignored as if it doesnt exist.
But thats where the only path to recovery from spiritual disease can be found.
Yes, your none existent hard problem is ignored.

Except psychology does not deal with just psychological disorder or peer pressure, it also deals with normal behavior. But if I understand what you appear to imply, you are correct, there is no single root of religious belief and spiritual experience, they are products of different but normal behavior.

Teleological thinking, cognitive bias, cultural and parental influences, all normal effects we use in our every day life, as well as spiritually.

They may also be genuine, although I have seen no good evidence for me to believe this.

It only starts to become a mental disorder when it makes you ignore clear evidence that you are wrong, when you have to lie to yourself to feed a delusional belief.

Hey BFun. Why does your god pick and choose who to give faith to?
