i appreciate everybody's response and i will get to it this weekend and respond. i have classes the next two nights and don't get back till late at night ... and then i have to go to work in the morning!! i appreciate all views an believe this topic deserves my full attention!!

Thanks for sharing, great post. I never had an Islamic perspective so it was an interesting read!

I guess the babies/children suffering falls under the category of Allah testing you to see how you handle the situation. I can dig that.

That's pretty deep and I think very hard for many to get their grasp around that concept. In fact, it took me a couple of reads to let that thought digest. I actually believe in karma so this makes sense to me. I should definitely read up on this topic more!
