You did NOT get it straight. We each of us know intimately what consciousness is . . . we experience it as our "Self." What science DOESN'T know is how to measure it, or what type of energy composite it is (suspect non-baryonic energy/matter . . . like dark energy and dark matter), or how to capture it scientifically with our current technology (thank God . . . we lack enough privacy as it is . . . at least our thoughts are safe for now)

What is your point?

You have not given me a reason to take into account things outside of reality. Things we can not be sure of.

Lets say everyone who dies a horrible death, gets ever lasting life outside our universe. - should I entertain this idea, or says "at the moment we can not know that".

Actualy, this world is not reality. It's a creation of our thoughts and actions. Real (ity) is the invisible that is not created. That is also where Truth lies. As Jesus said, "Seek and ye shall find". If you don't seek what is within, you will never find that which is real.
The only way for you to know for sure what is real is to delve into your own conscience and see for yourself, otherwise, you will never be living in reality.
Anyone can have that connection. Some choose to ignore what is outside of their own creation.

What? I'm pretty sure the only way I'm not going to live in reality, is if I die.

BEAUTIFUL.

you just gave us a perfect answer to your own opening post asking "what is spiritual"

"Spirit can be tested and observed, but the feeling can not be replicated yet for others to feel that exact same experience."

THANK YOU

Spirit is like that.
People know it when they experience it.

If someone goes around saying "i don't believe you, you can't prove you are happy, you are making it up, you are pretending, happiness does not exist" it speaks only to that one person's mindset and beliefs

spirit is like that
it is there for all of us to experience, just like joy and happiness, and love

saying it is stupid or does not exist, doesn't make it go away, it just means the person is missing out on an immense source of pleasure. It's like having a treasure buried in the basement, but not willing to pick up the keys and the shovel, and unlock the door and start digging.

You can replicated these feelings through imagination.

Consciousness exists and it is as real as anything our science can measure . . . but it cannot currrently be measured or captured in a way to reproduce its content. It is pure energy . . . and will continue to exist as pure energy after the body stops producing it . . . just as any broadcast energy continues until it is transformed, absorbed, reflected . . . or whatever. Since it is non-baryonic . . . it cannot be transformed or absorbed by anything baryonic or be detected or measured by our current science.
