There is no prophet between me and him, that is, jesus (peace_be_upon_him). He will descent (to the earth). When you see him, recognise him: a man of medium height, reddish fair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from his head though it will not be wet. He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Antichrist and will live on the earth for forty years and then he will die. The Muslims will pray over him.
Moonsun,
What do you think reddish fair means from your point of view? It doesn't make any sense to me that a person living in that area about two thousand years ago in an era in which people rarely travelled far beyond their homes would appear to be so different from their neighbors. As far as race is concerned the caucausian race actually includes ethnic groups that we don't normally think of as being caucasian but genetically speaking they really are. That would include most arabs. When people talk about different races they're generally mixing up racial ancestry with cultural differences. An Italian or Spaniard is just as caucasian as someone living in Norway or Sweden. It's just a misunderstanding of the meaning of racial differences and what race actually means.
I have yet to see a portrait of Jesus with brown eyes, and black hair. Most have the reddish tones in the hair, and beard. Blue eyes. Feminine (soft featured) images of Jesus were all over the place in the 1950's.
I am fairly certain Jesus would look like an Arab if we met him today. I believe his skin color would be like bronze. I know that Jesus would not be a white man if he walked up to me tomorrow, although I have often seen him portrayed as a white man. I have also seen many pictures portraying Jesus as a black man. I don't think this would be accurate either. And personally, I don't think his skin color really mattered. What did matter was his message, one which most of his own church does not really follow.
