I must be living in another universe. I personally know of no "bad" men. I just like what everyone has to offer. Now I don't happen to know any male criminals or abusers, so maybe I'm insulated, and lucky. But I do feel for the OP, who, by the way, is now gone from this thread. I hope she finds peace and a place to recover.

I had a lousy first marriage that lasted 25 years. Oh well! It ended. I got over it. I moved on with my life. I never, ever attributed that doleful experience to all women or felt that good ones were few and far between. I was never that short-sided or wrapped-up in myself; or should I say, "self-obsessed?".

Life is full of experiences, both good and bad. It's part of the human condition! But life really DOES beat the alternative.

Talking Similar dilemma...

I too sometimes are in the same predicament, wanting to migrate to a island or retreat where there are no other people, ESPECIALLY women. I am not gay, mind you just really fed up with the rest of the human race. I often joke by making the statement " why can't you all die, why can't it just be I". For some reason most people never see the humor?
It has the added advantage of getting people to leave me alone at work too, lol!

There are many small islands around the world that one can purchase and be 100% alone, these islands are under various countries territories, some have almost perfect weather, others not so much.

In Orthodox Christian Russia, widows would often enter a convent.
