I think there's a general misconception that there is a minimum Social Security benefit. There isn't.
I would say this erroneous misconception is caused by idiots who refuse to accept the reality that your OASI and SSDI benefits are calculated based on your
average monthly earnings, not what you "paid into the system."
And the reason people falsely and irrationally focus on what they "paid into the system" is due to the fact that they stupidly believe that Social Security is their own personal private retirement pension hedge fund investment annuities savings 401(k) plan account, even though the law clearly states in no uncertain terms that Social Security is an insurance program.
I noticed people seem to have an extraordinarily difficult time grasping the concept of insurance....lot of that going around lately.
