Here is a suggestion, try signing up with an agency that hires extras for commercials and TV or movies. Often they are looking for regular looking people. In areas where there are not an abundance of Seniors, you may have an edge. In smaller cities where there are production companies filming popular TV shows, they are always looking for people for crowd scenes to be fill-ins.
Here in Portland, OR where two TV shows, "Portlandia" and "Grimm" are popular, talent agencies have been holding huge casting calls. I have friends who have gotten jobs just by showing up.
