Right now, at this moment in my senior life, the "perfect mate" would have the following qualities (in no order):
* Good teeth/breath
* Good health
* Financial stability
* Emotional stability
* Easy-going personality
* Fun and good-natured
* Moral and ethical
* Squeaky clean (bathes at least once per day)
* Good listener
* Loves to travel (short or long trips) - and is spontaneous
* Appreciation for other cultures
* Politically liberal
* Spiritual and aware
* Handy and helpful
* Good cook or prep cook
* Interested in lots of stuff
* Non-traditional
* Artistic
You’ve got to have the emotional connection. A lot of other things can fall into place free that.
My ex is moving from TN to FL next week. We’ve spent pretty much all week together. It’s easy to “fill in the blanks” on a lot of things if you love your partner for who they are and you’re having a good time with them.
Senior or not, my ideal partner wasn’t really what I thought she would be. If you and her riff off of each other well, I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of your list suddenly becomes immaterial.

Are you sure you're talking about a "perfect" mate and not wanting to adopt a boy scout?
I think that a list like that is pretty silly, and more likely to result in a failed relationship.
I had a few guys I've worked with who were divorced and had similar type of listings for what they were looking for in a mate, It never worked out for them, at least back when I knew them. Each ended up in either another divorce or a tortured relationship.
You have to have an emotional connection that transcends this type of listing. You'll never have that working off a checklist.
I don't know what inspired me to write that list! No idea!
There would be other things too:
*Emotionally available
*Sense of humor
*Willingness to leave me alone for vast quantities of time
Ha ha - I would be SHOCKED if I ever met someone with 1/3 of these qualities AND since I am SIP and am an introvert, it could only be a Door Dash, Instacart, or Pizza delivery driver.
It’s like buying a house. You have your wants, needs and wishes. You have to decide which are actual needs (bathing regularly for instance) but can accept someone who isn’t quite spontaneous in taking long trips. Once you make an emotional connection you may surprise yourself in what is truly important to you.
