DH uses this ( and has been using it or another one that also required refrigeraton) for several years.
First time flying with it several years ago we asked the flight staff and they did put it in fridge.
Then we learned as was mentioned above, it's really fine at room temperature for extended period.
So now when we travel it goes in DH's backpack which is his "personal" bag and is with us in the airplane, and even if we are on a bus or car so it's not in a trunk getting overheated. Once we get to the hotel, obviously if there's a mini fridge in the room ( pretty common) we stick it in there but if not, it's fine in the room even when we leave.

We don't typically travel for more than 2 weeks so it's fine.
FWIW it's been very effective at managing his diabetes. ( He does not really follow any dietary restrictions so he's put it to the test).

Just make sure to keep a copy of your rx with you when you fly with your pens, in case TSA asks...that could be the label from the box of pens. Most of these injectable pens need to be kept <86 degrees and also never allowed to freeze, so not in checked luggage. You can use a zip up case that has some padding in it, for protection.

interesting , i got my first statement from my drug plan since being on trulicity ..

it shows they have been paying 996.00 a month for it . i pay 11 dollars a month as a copay plus 500 a year deductible. but my drug plan is only 12.95 a month .

so i am not sure how they can shell out 12k a year based on what i pay .

the scary thing is all these GLP-1 type shots cost about the same .there are so many on it for just weight loss .

it’s amazing these insurers can just pay for this stuff for non diabetics

As I understand it many or most insurers do not pay for it if the person is just using it for weight loss, ie, non-diabetics.

i couldn’t get it at my cvs .

it was on back order .

my doctor has a friend who owns a drug store so he holds some just for his patients. so i have had a reliable source

TSA travel with meds.

I keep all my med's & supplies in it's own travel bag. It is insulated.

Best to keep it with your carry on bag. You never know when you may be separated from checked baggage. Keep a list of what it is. In normal quantity is no problem. Ask the agent if you have any concerns with Xray or other device.

You can get cooler device at pharmacy for the Trulicity & other injectable meds.

I take a different med for a different purpose but it also should be kept cool, but is okay at temps up to 85 degrees for 30 days. I keep it refrigerated, and I am traveling currently. While flying I store it in a small zippered case I got on Amazon. It has two little gel packs that you freeze and it has slots for your needles, your vial, your "pens" if you use pens, alcohol pads, etc. The TSA line at the airport never even asked me to take the case out of my under-seat tote where I was carrying it when it went thru the x-ray machine. I keep a copy of the scrip label in the case too. Most hotels and homes have fridges, so I just put it in the fridge asap when I get where I'm going every day. I don't leave it in the car ever as temps get far too high.

we always have a cooler in the car that i keep sweatshirts and rain gear in so it’s always with us .

when i pick up my prescription the pharmacy is not near me that has it as our chains near us have it back ordered all the time .

so we toss and ice pack in when i pick it up and we are good for the day with it in the car
