If anyone is taking this medication & traveling, do you have a favorite product for keeping it cool? Also, I haven't flown with it yet, how does TSA, etc. deal with it?

Can I fly with Victoza, Ozempic, Trulicity, Byetta, and other diabetes injectable medicines?
Yes, insulin, Victoza, Ozempic, Trulicity, Byetta, and any other injectable diabetes medicines are allowed on the plane. Be sure to keep the labels visible so the security agents can easily and quickly identify your meds.

Insulin will last unrefrigerated for up to 28 days and Trulicity (and others like it) will last for up to 14 days. I have flown with both. Insulin goes in my quart size Ziploc and Trulicity just gets thrown in the carryon with other toiletries and meds. I have never had an issue. If I were going to be away from home for longer than 14 days, I would just refrigerate the Trulicity once I arrived at my destination.
Well, thank you everyone. I am still in a bit of denial about my dx and necessity of taking this drug so I've not been very proactive about it and my medical provider is lacking in patient ed. Mathjak, I started taking it around the same time as you, so good luck to us!

it can take 4-6 months of build up to reach full strength..kind of disappointing right now since my numbers are higher then when i was taking old school glimpride
In response to mathjak107, yes it takes a bit for Trulicity to start lowering blood sugars. I find that I still need to eat to my meter. Testing my blood first thing in the morning and then before lunch and dinner. These readings tell me if I ate too much of the wrong foods and forces me not to snack. Earlier this year you could not get Trulicity. I was able to keep blood sugars in line.
still running about 30 points higher then equivalent meals with my older glimpride .
but i see it can take 4-6 months to go full on with trulicity
