Hobo life isn't glamorous

I'll bet the majority of people in a " hobo jungle" are mentally inbalanced and have crime records.

There used to be a clear and understood difference between "Hobos", "Tramps", and "Bums".

But now they are all lumped into one category called "Homeless".

Probably more dangerous for women to try this. What would they be called anyway? Hoboettes?

I think we are going to see alot more of this type of living arrangements the way things are going in the US. They need some place decent to park - not in a parking lot.

If there were more clean public bathrooms, places to shower and wash clothes - it wouldn't be so bad.

Obviously, some people didn't check out the link!

I loved our RV lifestyle. We had only what we needed and nothing more. It wasn't about how much "stuff" we had. The people are less guarded. You can make friends faster at a KOA than you can at an HOA. The late nights around the campfire, watching movies on the patio, grilling with the neighbors. You guys don't know what you are missing.

Just wait til retirement . . . you'll see us "on the road again."

I can see that one can make friends quite easily living like this. I watched a program about people living on boats and it was the same type of setup with people getting together and helping each other and sharing meals.

That was my point re: the parking - there needs to be places set up for people to park their vans other than in car parks.
