Moving to Rhode Island (Providence, Pawtucket: condos, safe area, to buy)

I am relocating to Rhode Island from Washington State. I will be working downtown in Lincoln. I want to buy a cool condo that I could walk to shopping, grocery store, restaurants etc. in a safe area within 15-20 minutes of my office. Anyone have any suggestions?

Lincoln has several small villages: Manville, Saylesville, Limerock, etc. Where is your job?

My job will be in Lincoln--how far is Pawtucket from there? Is it a cool area?

yea, Pawtucket is really special.

I'm a Washington State native and have lived in Manville for a few months and had a great time. It was quite an experience for me to say the least, plus the people were very different than what I was used to. I especially enjoyed how bright the winters were. Good luck with the move! You might look at condos in Cumberland over Pawtucket.

But if you want walkable areas look at Providence.

I don't know but coming from WS, if you have any appreciation for nature, choose wisely where you move- some parts of the Prov metro, especially north like Pawtucket, are a highly congested, old, pavement jungle, and HOT in the summer.
