9:54 pm Clear. 66 °F Clear. No wind ↑ 61% 30.16 "Hg 10 mi
11:54 pm Clear. 60 °F Clear. 3 mph ↑ 78% 30.18 "Hg 10 mi

And also, the high and lows that day were 2 degrees off the high average and 3 degrees below the low average.

Actual Temp
79° /57°
Hist. Avg.
81°/60°

Isn't it quite ironic that my memory of July 4th seems to be supported by the weather data coming from professional weather stations at the Rochester airport? And Pittsford is 5 miles from the airport. So don't give me this story about how it's so much colder there. So again, unless you were in a refrigerator, your statement about seeing your breath because it was so cold is BS
Seeing your breathe does not happen at a certain temperature. If it is cool enough and the humidity is right you can see it.

So, we live in Rochester, NY, and some people are calling either 57 or 60 degrees cold. Is anyone else amused?

It's unseasonably cool for July, perhaps, but "cold" is a little extreme of a descriptor.

Again, unless you were hanging out in a refrigerator, it was not cold and you were not seeing your breath.

And here's the proof. It was 60 degrees at midnight. Click on "Show the weather" for the 4th:

The airport generally is not representative of an entire area. There are times the Buffalo drops only to 60 in the summer nights, but outside of the city at my house it is in the low 50s. Never underestimate the urban heat island.

June was actually cold, july is colder than normal and I worry about the weather patterns. We are getting less sun than normal and I worry about the crop harvest too.
