Last year I moved to Brockport and since then have noticed the EXTREME bible thumpers in town.Take note: i'm not at all religious and have nothing against people if they are, but a preacher stating DOWN WITH THE JEWS outside the church is a bit extreme!!! Any thoughts?
I go to brockport several times a month for work and never seen anybody care about religion, let alone anti-semitism. Maybe they are coming the extreme rural areas surrounding Brockport?

Are you sure it was a preacher from a local church? I lived in Brockport for a number of years and never experienced any religious extremism of any kind.
Brockport is a college town; i seriously doubt that locals would be there shouting anti-semitic things. Probably some fringe activist group from the country or something; they often go to college towns to protest because they are seen as "liberal havens" that need the most "help".
They're probably from the dreaded....dah dah dah....315!
Were these people on campus or in town? If it was on campus, it doesn't surprise me as almost EVERY campus in America at one time or another gets some extremist preachers preaching their rather warped view of God and Christianity to students.
So, to answer your question is Brockport anti-Jew? I would say no. I partied with a HS friend of mine a bunch of times up there and he had a Jewish roommate we used to hang with and never had any problems.

Yea, I remember at Plattsburgh those wackos from the Westboro Baptist Church came to protest god knows what.... Maybe because we had a gay mayor or something.
Sometimes you just get some crazies that come out.... There is one who stands on the street corner at 5mile Line and Rt 441 screaming at cars... He does it in downpours, snow, whatever the weather... I don't think he is associated with a specific Church in Penfield but he just comes and screams on the corner.... Just understand they do not represent the mass public- I know several people wish he would just stop! Brockport is a college town with more Liberal and free thinking people... this is just some random thing....

Agreed. Sounds like it was just some whacko... any Christian preacher worth his salt knows that Jesus was a Jew anyway. :-p

Right on Lake Ave/Main St. in town. The church on the west corner right by the business district.
