garmin239...I am in the Pittsford Area. As far as I know, the closest family delis to this area would be in East Rochester- none of them have done it for me yet. However- I am very partial to Boars Head deli meats and will just about write off any deli that uses anything else.
In addition to good delis and bakeries I would like to hear about any good bagel places.
Off topic...Went to Charlie the Butcher in Bflo today for the first time. That was the best beef on weck I ever had. Wish we had them here in Rochester.
yea, you won't find too many delis in Pittsford. Irondequoit and Greece have several though. I suggest going to those towns.
Another Baker which is delicious... though not Italian... is Jacksons Bakery on Stone Road in Greece... they have a fabulous chocolate cake with chocolate icing.... really amaizing... among other delicious sweets. If you are in Greece head over there for a treat.....
Someone said Ciaccia's for a deli.... and they have VERY good food! They cater as well I believe... their beans and greens are fabulous... My IRISH fam goes there... LOL but my Italian in-laws go to Rubinos....
Skips isn't really a deli, but a butcher. Very fresh meat, and cheap prices. If you want thick bacon, come here! The only downside, it is in Beechwood.
Thanks everyone! I can't wait to go to Savoia's tomorrow to pick out some pastries! We're hosting dinner for 8 with an Italian theme, and I'm cooking everything but the dessert.

Have Tons of Fun and report back what you think of Savoia's!
The people there are super nice. Their selection wasn't quite as amazing as Presti's in Cleveland's Little Italy (a place I just happened upon when road tripping for Thanksgiving), but it was still fun. I am looking forward to having some of the treats tonight at my dinner party. We got some mini cannolis, a cookie tray, and two loaves of fresh bread! Also, they recommended Rubino's on Ridge Road East as the best Italian deli in town.

Cuomo's on Park Ave is cute. They're the nicest mom & pop ever, they seriously talked to my friend and me for like 20 minutes when we were there this summer.
I third Rubino's, but you have to go to the home store on Ridge near Portland.
That's the only place for sandwiches. A local chain opened up down the road; I see cars in their lot and I think, "the poor fools...."
