I have to choose between two great apartments in midtown. I am moving here from the east coast and don't know much about the neighborhoods.

One place is at 23&N and the other is 27th&N. They are only four blocks apart but crime seemed to be a little higher near 23rd on the PD website - but that was only for 3 months, is it a higher crime area?

I have lived in big cities so I'm used to dealing with some crime but don't want to move to a super sketchy neighborhood.

I like living close enough to bars and restaurants to walk but both seem good for that.

Any help appreciated!

p.s. I noticed an adult education center near 23&n and wondered if it was known as being problematic or not

N didn't strike me as a terribly bad street in that stretch. On my last visit I looked at an apartment at 2315 N. I didn't look at anything further up, but I personally wouldn't live higher than 27th because I started hearing noise from the freeway and I'm a very ligth sleeper.

Hi!

The school you mention is an adult school aimed primarily at non-English speakers. I work for the school district and have not heard of any problems there. We have had a number of our Spanish-speaking parents, whose children attend my school, who have gone there.
