Sacite, You do know that these fires in Napa, Sonoma, and other counties are experiencing worse air quality than Sacramento. And, these types of fires are not limited to California. The entire West experiences bad air quality from Wildfires.

The grass isn't always greener... the last time I was in the Pacific Northwest, I experienced the worst smoke/air quality anywhere because of the fires in British Columbia. The smoke from those fires stretched for 200-300 miles over the Straight of Georgia to the Island of Vancouver. I was really quite surprised as we assume the air quality in the Pacific Northwest is some of the best, but not when the forests are burning. And they have a lot of forests, larger forests, denser forests than we do. For a week Vancouver, British Columbia was totally white-out. You couldn't breathe for 2 minutes outdoors. Those beautiful mountains surrounding Vancouver, BC were completely blocked out.

I experienced the same in Portland, Oregon on a different occasion.

Orange County is experiencing worse smoke than we are now.

I love Sac, but I was just thinking today that the air is so bad here I may end of having to call it a day sometime in the next couple years and move somewhere else.
Most large metro areas have air quality issues.
