I was wondering if anyone has had experience from attending or being in this event. My daughters, ages 12 and 13, would like to be in this pageant coming up in April. If you have done this event with your children, please share your story and whether or not you would recommend this particular pageant to others. Thanks for the help.

Please be careful with pageants. Most of them are money schemes. I entered my daughter into one a few years back and found that out the hard way. It was obvious the girls who won the titles were the ones who raised the most money (you could tell by the biggest ads in the program book). Maybe I am wrong but a beauty contest should not be about who raises the most money. That should be another contest.

i wish i had seen this earlier however i didnt know this forum existed.

we do not base titles on those that raise the most money.

it is all done via unbiased judges from different walks in the community and via computer tally.

we are embarking on our 6th annual event.

it is very political just like everything is now a days, the girls who have moms who are state queens and they dont follow the rules that they send out to you. The rules say no glitz well the little girl who won the 2 year old i believe her name is paisley gets bronzer put on before the pageants and then multiple other girls including the one that got princess next to paisley had a glitz dress on.

Last year 2010, it was nothing close to how extreme the parents went to this year. Last year was great the 2011 year, very cliche some of those people should enter glitz pageants if that is what they want to to do instead of trying to make the natural pageants go out of style. I was very disappointed this year.
