It does not sound like someone going to UTSA is very wealthy, as stated it is not an elite school, certainly if they are just telling teachers what they want to hear it does not sound like they are passionate about academics, so not highly intelligent either, so I hope you have something that justifies your condescending attitude other than the color of your skin because if that is all you can assume there are those that look down on you as well.

As far as being 'pure line Hispanics'....does being pure mean one is better than being mixed?

I went to UTSA for a degree to attain the full benefits of a position, one that affords me the ability to call a BMW junk. So no I have no real qualms in that respect, UTSA was/is fine. However you seem to ignorantly equate going to university with very narrow-minded interests which is inherently flawed thinking in and of itself. Many if not most go as a career amplifier or furtherance, not in order to be deemed "passionate about academics" which means absolutely nothing in and of itself.

As for the racism jab that is just pathetic and I'll leave you to deal with your own racism issues as you clearly have them from obvious cheap attempted claims of racism. You seem to be uncomfortable conversing about race in a casual manner, perhaps there are deep-seeded issues you need to work out. You also seem to have a confidence issue in regard to academia and feel the need to belittle other academic entities, which also might need some addressing on a personal level, just saying of course, your personal failings interest me not.

Of course UTSA is fine, as is San Antonio. That is the point.

Just someone going to 'UTSA' then complaining about 'SA's party scene'? lol have you been on the moon? This is San Antonio though after all...I should not be surprised...people vote Subway as best sub in town.

Sorry I just found nothing that merits your condescending view. Elitist perhaps though only elite people deserve to have an elitist attitude even if most actually don't.

Ohhhh I see you demonizing a university and making claims of poverty against people aren't elitist only what you deem elitist counts as elitist based on your unique criterion. Hmmm

Based on that I'll take my education over the one you attained.

It is not demonizing to simply say UTSA is not elite. It isn't.

It is also not making claims of poverty, but being pragmatic in outlook, someone with an elitist attitude such as you have displayed, well others would assume you went to a 'real' university with full board and all.

The fact that you live in Stone Oak and went to UTSA is not bad though, quite good, but would not expect such an ordinary person to post some of the things you have.

So which of those things are untrue? UTSA is decent and valuable to our community but you know most people do not consider it a 'real' university either. Just as San Antonio does not have a 'real' party scene. Don't act surprised.

I don't care about what some consider 'real' universities, I'd wager 95%+ of Americans could really care less either way what you and a small minority of others consider a 'real' university. It seemed real enough to me and the Ivy league graduate professors who teach there so you must know something they don't then considering they chose to teach at UTSA.

And SA has a party scene just that it consists over 75% of one race of people, Mexicans or Mestizos. I'm not surprised nor do I particularly care.

Which sort of proves the point by you mentioning that. It is true too that "95%+" consider Ivy League schools as being superior to UTSA. I did not invent that perception or prestige so don't hold it against me.
