First Saturday every month is Helotes Market Days. This Saturday in Downtown Helotes, hours I believe ar 10-5. Lots of fun. Booths selling Avon, jewelry, all kinds of arts and crafts, Humane Society usually has dogs to pet and adopt, music, food, antique stores, bouncies for the kids.

Helotes Humane Society has moved. Their open house at the new location is this Saturday also from 3-6. Located on Bandera Rd/Hwy 16 across from DT Helotes.

I purposely look for any place that is having an open house on Saturday's or Sunday's to take my granddaughter's to. Open houses as in new business openings, not for "For Sale" houses. If you hear of any, for any reason, please post here in this event thread.

Thanks much!

Darn, missed this annual event. I did, however, discover the monthly 2nd Saturday event in Boerne couple months ago and attended with my daughter and 2 granddaughters. We enjoyed it very much, and plan to attend others, just want to keep it special by putting some time between visits.

Default Festival Found By Accident

Hi All, a fellow CDer and I came upon the Deco Art(ists) and Musicians Festival on Fredricksburg Rd. today. We stopped and browsed, and listened to the bands on 3 stages (one was Ruben V, anyone heard of him? He was great!). I was disappointed that nobody from CD posted this event. Did anyone know about it? It is this kind of event I look for, they are fun to do on the weekends with a friend or with family (I am always looking for things to do with my two granddaughters, ages 7 & 5).
