Living near the Rim/ Dominion areas I wish we had a bigger updated grocery store. HEB owns the adjacent land and has plans for a future bigger store. As far as I know that is on hold.

If HEB doesn't follow through with this I am wandering what other stores may be in the works?? I heard rumors of a Whole Foods in or around the RIM? Wouldn't it be awesome if Trader Joe's would open their next SA store nearby? Given the demographics of this area that would be a smart move for Whole Foods or TJ's.

The De Zavala HEB is plenty big and just as close to you.

I dislike the location (at Dezevala) I work in Boerne and drive home and stay outside 1604 as much as possible. Given the growth of this area I am sure that a store would be in the works. New homes and apartments are going up quickly.

Go to already discussed Plus on Bandera and 1604. Not a big drive. Whole Foods is going in on Blanco and 1604 across from another Plus. This is TX, gotta drive to get places. Not NYC where you walk out of your house to the bodega.

I wish I had big problems like this!

Seriously, if you work in Boerne, isn't there a nice, new HEB there that you can go to?

You have a new HEB in Boerne, the one in Leon Springs, one at DeZavala and 10, a brand new one at 1604 and Bandera rd, not to mention The Rim Shopping Center, La Cantera shopping center, etc etc. What are you complaning about? Just because you you want them, does not mean there are plans in the works to bring them to you.

Be careful what you wish for. Otherwise, you might end up with a humongous warehouse-size HEB, like the one at at Bandera & 1604. I avoid it whenever I can. I mean, who wants to walk by tons of BBQ grills & cheap clothing to get to the frozen food? The new Whole Foods will be at Blanco & 1604...don't know when it'll open...maybe this fall?

wow, lotsa hate on this thread. And where does one purchase groceries at the Rim and La Canterra, may I ask? Goodness, you'd think the OP was asking for the moon. I happen to agree, the Leon Springs HEB is old and outdated. I wish they would update.

I also can't figure out why the Target in the Rim isn't a Super Target. But I bet I'll get flamed for that too.
