Have you recieved the new Maxx speeds from TWC yet? (San Antonio: 2015, to buy)

I've been waiting to get my upgraded speed now that I've made the switch to TWC from AT&blahhhhhhh. Has anyone already gotten the speeds? I'm over near the Kelly USA area and haven't gotten the upgrade yet.

SAN ANTONIO, March 11, 2015 – Time Warner Cable (TWC) has begun the roll out of faster Internet speeds, with the first wave of customers in the San Antonio area now having access to Internet speeds of up to 300 Mbps. All six of TWC’s Internet plans will see significant increases as part of the “TWC Maxx” launch that features ultra-fast Internet speeds, state-of-the-art TV services and best-in-class reliability.

Starting this week, more than 75,000 customers in the San Antonio area will receive the faster Internet speeds as part of the first phase of the roll out. All TWC Internet customers in the area will receive the faster speeds by the end of July.

Areas in this first phase include:

Balcones Heights
China Grove
Far North East side, including Thousand Oaks, Nacogdoches roads
Huebner between I-10 and Bitters
Kirby
Pecan Valley
Shavano Park
Somerset
South Side—west of I-35 between Highway 90 and Loop 410
West Side, including areas around Woodlawn and Commerce streets
Windcrest

They rolled it out to my area in 78249. I had to stop by the TWC Store and pick up a new modem. Because I didn't have my old one with me (good idea to bring it with you), I had to call in to get it activated. Supposedly, if you have your modem in hand when you walk in, they can program it there so it's plug and play when you get home. Activation was easy over the phone and my bandwidth test at peak hours (when I tested it) was 78 down and 20 up. Not bad at all. I had the Turbo package so my automatic upgrade was to the 100 Mbps tier. Now I actually feel like I am getting what I pay for.

I have been upgraded. I am in the Thousand Oaks area, but northwest of McAllister park. I have had Ultimate (50Mbps) for over a year, and was able to achieve upwards of 60Mbps during that time.

I am now hovering around 270. I only get those speeds on the computer that is hardwired via ethernet. According to my new tier, I am able to get up to 300 now. The slightly slower speeds could be due to my router (an old Apple Airport Extreme). I get about 100 on Wifi. I am considering a new router, in order to take better advantage of the new speeds.

I got the new modem around March 2 (which was required) through the mail, and will be returning the old one in person. Speeds were upgraded on March 11.

78209 reporting, no upgrades yet. i just downgraded my plan also because i heard about this. i was on the 50 meg plan but never used anything close to that. will probably downgrade to standard internet, since that will more than solve my needs.

spoke with a buddy at twc regional. maxx upgrades should be complete for SA by end of may, not june/july as projected.

those wanting to buy their own modem should do so now: twc upped the modem fee to 8 bucks. i have the sb6141 and it will handle the 300 megs time warner may throw at it.

Change your modem.

Also, those speeds are really only going to be achieve via an Ethernet cord or if your deceive works on an AC band.
