Sorry that happened. No offense to the new people.
I just looked at their new menu. I haven't eaten there yet, but would like to check it out. You know I have noticed that the asian dishes are a little different here than back home on the east coast. For example, I have yet to find duck sauce that is made with the applesauce taste and the boneless spare ribs. Do you know of any place around that might have these items?

Jollibee, A Filipino fast food chain is supposedly opening up in San Antonio near the "hellhole" called Leon Valley. They have a location in Houston already and San Antonio will be their second location.

Quote:
The restaurant has filed for approval to upgrade a building at 5033 NW Loop 410 in the plaza anchored by Walmart near the intersection with Bandera Road.

This is sad, and nearish to Leon Valley . I've always loved Capparelli's--not as much as Fratelli's, which I still miss but Capparelli's is just so old school. The one on Jones Maltsberger/1000 Oaks is still open and does a good dinner business, as does the one on 3009.

Oh, man! I was just there on Saturday night, with my friend that I met via C-D 6 years ago. We would go there when I was staying on that side of town from my house (I house/pet sit). He was sick over Christmas so we couldn't go, so we were able to meet up this past Saturday.

Bummer! They had the best pizza and salad.......and it was convenient for both of us. We'd always go to the Goodwill to browse afterwards, then he'd go home and I'd go back to "my" dogs.......
