The lady that worked the job previously retired due to health reasons. They've been filling the spot with their vet techs. One of the girls is going back to college so I guess they're back to looking for a permanent replacement.

As for it being busy it can be especially after 5 when people are picking their animals up. If its packed I just take my dog out to the car and go back in for the few minutes that it normally takes to check out. I won't take my animals anywhere else, all the vets there have been truly great.

If the vet clinic owner was a smart businessperson, she would get that lot and expand that facility. I've learned, though that people may be good at their profession, but not so good at thinking like a business owner (or a manager of people). Much nicer vet clinics have since popped up in the area. Compete or die.

I heard at one time there was talk of extending Grosenbacher Rd out to Alamo Parkway OR extending Cottonwood Rd (near Brennan HS) into Westcreek (maybe connecting with Saxonhill Dr.). This would make travel from Potranco Rd. to Brennan HS much easier, and would provide an alternative route for those who want to get to Westcreek/Alamo Ranch without hassle of lights/1604 congestion. Anybody know what happened to these plans?

I hope none of that happens. We don't need the through traffic in the subdivision.

Thanks for your reply... I appreciate/respect your concerns.

Another idea... I think it would be nice to have Cottonwood connected to Saxonhill Drive, not as a driving road, but as a bike/walking trail. This would provide a healthy alternative for folks from Potranco subdivisions/Westcreek/Alamo Ranch to travel in-between these areas without using a car and/or1604 -- would keep cars off the roads, reduce smog, and maybe help the community be more fit.

Grosenbacher Rd. is still planned to be extended northward to Wiseman Blvd and will connect to Alamo Parkway which now plays out just north of Wiseman...it becomes FM 1560 north of Culebra. I believe TexHwyMan displayed a map of future SA roads and it was listed on there as well.

Update: Found the link to the future SA roads on the Major Thoroughfare Map. Grosenbacher Rd is in red signifying a major arterial road heading northward towards Bandera Rd.

I heard there will be a Steak and Shake opening up around the area soon Can someone confirm that? It would be at an ideal location for me and I'd have a better chance at getting hired if it's a new place.

Duane, right now there are SO MANY "Now Hiring" signs on that intersection it is not funny son!!!

Bill Miller starts at $9 per hour it states, the Steak and Shake and the Dunkin Donuts, and the new Raisin Cain and Del Taco should have their signs up soon (if not already...it has been 3 days since I have passed thru that neck of the woods) so LOTS of new places for you to apply that are "just opening"!
