I think this is hysterical that this "person" never came back and this thread has made it to FOUR pages!

That "person" is no longer a member. The thread was meant to stir the pot, and stir the pot only. We should all be used to them by now!

How is the diversity in San Antonio? I know it's mostly a Hispanic city...how are others (including blacks) received by the majority population?

I realize most will be religious but how are non-religious atheist/agnostics/non-religious people treated?

Are there other attractive, educated lesbians out there and if so, is San Antonio a lesbian-friendly city?

Is the city predominantely liberal or conservative?

Thanks.

You'll fit in fine. Best neighborhoods are going to be urban - Monte Vista, King William/Lavaca, etc. Get involved in the art scene (i.e., hit a couple of gallery openings at Blue Star and get on the mailing lists) and you'll make plenty of freinds of all backagrounds.

UrbanSA - right on yet again! After a few gallery openings/poetry readings you'll see what I/we mean.

That's okay. Maybe the next black / atheist / lesbian / phD will find the thread before starting a new one...?

I got a DM response from the OP, and it seemed like she had decided that SA (or maybe the university she was considering) were not for her. However, she was very polite and appreciated the feedback people offered up. Still, I wouldn't look for her to be posting again anytime soon.

That is sad. This board does not represent "my San Antonio" and that is why I continue to post here.

Celeste....it was nice of you to pass that on. Not sure why she couldn't have posted that nice comment publicly. Black, lesbian, atheist, liberal with a PHD we can handle.......but unfriendly wouldn't fit in!
