I was one of the crazy people you saw camping out nearly 24 hours for the free food. I arrived at about 7:00am yesterday to the Chick-fil-a and just got back to my place. I was #68 in line and there were over 100 by 8:00am. The prize is 52 vouchers for a combo meal. At about $5.25 a meal, we are talking about over $270 in free food. Divide that by the 23 hours waiting in line and I averaged about $11/hr to eat, play games, sleep, etc.

All guests were treated to meals, snacks, and drinks the entire time. There were games, a live dj, and lots of fun people to meet. I got to meet Dan Cathy, President of Chick-fil-a. He along with several other corporate execs flew in from Atlanta. We were allowed to enter the store to use the restroom, but were not allowed to leave the property. At least half the guests were from out of town. If you like to have fun, meet people, and get free food I highly recommend you attend!

This was my 1st grand opening to attend, but there were several who make a hobby out of traveling to as many as they can. One couple in attendance had been to 29 prior openings (that's over $15,000 in free food between the both)!

I like the original chicken sandwich. I have to say though, it is small. I is good for me but a guy might not get enough food.

Don't even bother with the chicken nuggets, they taste good but you need about 30 of them to make a meal for one person.

I went thru the drive thru the other day and ordered a sandwich and when I got out on the road I had the nuggets (enough for a three year old, lol). I emailed them and they sent me two vouchers for free sandwiches.

Chick-fil-A
That's awesome... Like I said, I would have been there if I had known about it! I'm all about getting $300 in free food. People let their pride get in the way of all kinds of great experiences.

hmm, maybe I shouldn't have talked my son out of it. It actually sounds like fun. I thought it would be more like a Best Buy thing where you're just there with a bunch of people and it sucks.

Yeah, it sounds like CFA encourages it and makes it enjoyable, which is really kind of cool. Look for a documentary soon!

so has anyone actually ate there yet? My daughter thinks it will be busy and I don't think so because there are quite a few CFA's already in SA. It's just us Potranco/1604/Culebra people that are excited.
