Hi all,
I'm just planning ahead a little.
I know these towns are as different as they are alike.
With that being said,in everyones experience or non-experience,any thoughts as far as a possible place to reside/visit.
Have these towns been compared to before?
Thank you

they are both big military towns, if that is what you are retiring from..If I had to live anywhere in florida, the west coast would be my choice, but I would still choose any other state and quite a few other countries over anything in florida.

you definitely need to take a road trip then and make sure you visit both because they really aren't very alike at all.

I see from your zip code you are in the Hudson Valley. That is where I am from (same side of the river) except for the last 20 years which were in western NYS. We have been in SA for 7 months now. We have been coming for 10 years as our youngest lives here. One of our daughters lived for about 8 years in Tampa/Clearwater area before she move back north. I have spent quite a bit of time visiting in FL over the years. Just in my opinion, FL is like Manhattan with palm trees. I fell in love with SA a little bit more each time we came to visit.

This site has a wealth of information on just about anything you have questions about. I have found it so helpful. rd2007 is right though, you really need to make a road trip and see which area floats your boat!
