That's dedication! I used to go every year in my teens/early twenties...but as I grew older, it became more of a pain in the azz and now I prefer to watch it on TV from wherever I am....but I'll grin and bear it for my wife, who has never been, as long as the weather isn't ridiculous. She was dying last night when we had went out for dinner and had to walk a little ways in that -5 degree wind chill...yikes!! She's never felt anything like that.

Only got about 2" or so today...maybe more later though. It's enough to throw snowballs though! First time for wife and son.

BREAKING NEWS! Lackland has moved!!

that's what the UPS driver said at least... I've spent quite a while trying to find this package that was supposed to be delivered at work. It was sent on the 16th, kicked back because of an error, sent again and took forever to get here (overnight package), and then lost. Someone finally found it at the UPS store by the BX on Lackland. The driver sent it there because "Lackland moved" and that was his exact words. That was one of the biggest clusters I've been through in a long time, but pretty freaking funny. They deliver tons of stuff here every day, so this guy must've been a holiday temp or something.

I had issues with UPS shipping things to my old address when we moved. Even though I would enter our current address, they would use our old address. They claimed they use the address "on file". I'm not sure where that file is though...

Damn, why are we always the last to hear about these things?!?

UPS stinks, I've had them deliver things to the wrong address before then make no effort to recover them...

I am in the same boat. I did tell my son on the bright side, when we go back we have 2.5 months and we get off for spring break. Then we have another 2.5 months before we get out for summer roughly.
Not that I'm counting down or anything. I do love my job, but I love my time at home with my boy too!!

It sure sucks to be you if your ONLY job is to get a package from Point A to Point B--and you can't do it?!?!?!? Fed Ex is just as bad, and most of those people are contractors, not actual FE employees. They seriously act like they do not give a damn if you get your package or not.
