Anyone recall what the OV prefix stood for?
OVerland. Numeric prefix would have been 68. The 512 Area Code included San Antonio/Bexar County up until the early 1990s, and in Bexar County, 512-OV sounds like what would have been a number assigned in the far NW part of the city/county.

IIRC, Alphanumeric prefixes were phased out in favor of all-numeric around 1970.

There have been 21 different drive ins in San Antonio. I worked at least a few shifts at 14 of them. One Drive In I never even passed by and saw was the Roxy Drive In. It was on Pleasanton Rd @ Moursund Blvd. It opened in 1950 and closed in the early 60s. Did anyone on this forum ever see a movie at the Roxy?
