Once again, Im thinking of relocating to San Antonio, but people here in Oregon tell me I would be miserable in the heat 24/7. Is it really just hot all day every day? Does it ever get cool out?

It's a chilly 47 right now....kinda wet/cold. Last night I swear I was thisclose to turning on the A/C because it was so humid. But I'm glad I didn't...it cooled off finally.

Summers are gloriously hot! HOT HOT not sissy hot. Winters are mild....spring and fall are very short. We do get our cold days, though--just a week or so ago they were threatening us with snow, which never materialized.

We do get some absolutely beautiful days.....often. Perfect 80's, sunny, breezy. But they are quickly followed by either HIGH HEAT or VERY COLD...in other words, our weather is crazy. We can have warm sunny days in December, and then all of a sudden we're hit with an Arctic blast.

You never know what to wear. Layers are best.

Also, rain is either feast or famine. When we do finally get it, look out!!

Nope. We have a normal high of 100 degrees everyday of the year. Doesn't matter if its 4pm on a late August afternoon or 4am in late January, it's always 100 degrees or more.

Better stay in Oregon.

It was in the 20's some in the past two weeks, at night. I'm from Michigan, and I adjusted just fine.

More like May to mid September. October is always a mixed bag but usually a ideal month while May to September is usually consistent.

If you get too hot, just head on over to Garner State Park and park yourself in the Frio River.... very refreshing. Feels almost 30 degrees cooler under the shade of the huge cypress trees out there.

Actually, we have two perfect months...April and October...crowded with outdoor events. The heat from May through September can be bad...depends on what you can stand. People here use the A/C a lot, house and car. Droughts are common, so think xeriscape garden, water restrictions are very frequent. San Antonio area has dangerous flash floods on a periodic basis when rain comes too much too quickly. Many parts of the city have homes built in the flood zones, so flooding of homes isn't that uncommon. Been pretty cool/cold lately, but most winters don't bring very many freezes in the city.
