Being from the LA area I am very extremely happy with this news!!! -I love IN & OUT and the quality of the burger Watch out Whataburger as competition will be fierce!
I just wanted to let you all know that this rumor is FALSE.
My best friend lives in Austin, we both go to Vegas frequently and always eat at In-n-Out when we do. We have inquired with In-n-Out Franchise Office about opening franchises in Texas and have been told that they do NOT intend to open any locations here in Texas. Believe it or not they are scared of...Sonic. Yes, Sonic. I would've thought Whataburger would be their big concern, but they seem to think Sonic is some type of undefeatable burger behemoth. Go figure.

Have you counted the Sonics in San Antonio? They're everywhere. Everywhere. And why? Their food and service is abysmal. I don't get it.

Sonic is a drink place. My wife and her friend love to get diet cokes with lemon or lime, or Sprites with orange, or the flavored iced teas.
They sell a ton of drinks.
But I agree the food and service are lacking.

There are only 5 within 60 miles of here...I like that ratio. Nearest one 23 miles. They suck. In-N-Out is wayyy better than Sonic, but still overrated.

I lived in CA for years and never really understood the attraction. Still, if you want to dream, maybe they could put an In-N-Out in the new football stadium, when our new NFL team gets here

Now, if Baja Fresh would open a restaurant here, that would be awesome!

Especially during half price time: 2 - 4 pm.

If this is true, then why are your "sources" "afraid of Sonic"? In n Out is not a drink place, is it?
