Honestly, I don't think the format is *that* bad. I was underwhelmed at first, but Cox Radio seems to have done a pretty good job programming the station and it does sound distinctly different from similar stations in town.

I listen to K-Love. I had always thought religious music on radio stations was like the songs sung in church, slow, old and boring. I was very surprised to learn that Contemporary Christian music is upbeat and has the sound of popular secular music (that is not rap, metal, or hard rock). K-Love can be on the car radio with your kids in the car, which is a much better alternative to some of the old and new songs on the radio today. Toby Mac is one of my favorites, and he does do some rap,but his versions have a great tune to them. Natalie Grant has a great "anthem" with "I will Not Be Moved". Go to youtube.com and search Natalie Grant. It is the first one on the page. It starts out slow but builds to a high energy song, absolutely wonderful! And you wouldn't know it was on a Christian station.
