I am planning on moving into a new apartment and I have a 7 month old pitbull puppy that I would love to keep with me. I have been looking everywhere and they all have breed restrictions which always includes pitbulls. Of course she is nothing like the stereotype. Does anyone know of any apartment complexes in the Inland Empire that allow pits, preferably close to Cal Poly Pomona University???

I certainally can't answer you question but remember, most people have heard of all the bad things ALL Pitbulls do and do not want anything to do with them....This is really too sad.

Yes, they can be mean and can kill, but so many are as sweet as our little lap dog...

You may have to look into duplexes or houses. I don't know what your price range is, but I am guessing apt will not allow Pitt Bulls.

You are going to have a very hard time finding anyone to rent to you with you having a Pit Bull. The restrictions go far beyond Apartments. They now restrict them from RV Parks, Hotels etc. And most homeowners will not rent to you because of the stipulations their insurance companies have. I know our ins. wouldn't cover if we owned a pit bull. It's sad but it's true.

you are right about the insurance: our granddaughter has 2 mixed pitts, but both look pure; when they bought their house in OKC they had a horrible time finding an insurance company that would sell them homeowners insurance..

That's one of the first questions our Ins. company asked; if we owned a pit bull. Everytime we bought a house; this question was asked. So I'm afraid the OP is not going to find anyone that will rent to him. If they do; they are lucky.

i am sooo sad about all the bad stuff that is thought about pit bull dogs.
mine is a big lap baby!
any breed can bite, or trained to fight or maim.
but its like. ' lets make another law', ....
this time to ban pits!
next 'they 'will want them to all be put to sleep.
i sure hope you find a good place to live with your puppy.
i am at he point where i dont even want to share what kind of dog i have....

i understand the consequences of owning a pitbull,
i was just looking for a sign of hope in someone knowing of a place that had the courage to allow pits in their apartment complex.
my only other option is to find a house to rent, even though its a bit more expensive, its worth it to me.

The anatomy of a pitbull is what gives them their bad name. They have bigger and stronger jaws than other dogs....

I bet chihuahuas bite just as many people... but a chihuahua generally isnt going to kill a person or another dog.. a pit bull will...

If you are a pitbull owner you need to just be extra cautious.... They can be good 99.99% of the time... But it takes just 1 bite..... I always see owners who let their kids play with their pet pitbull.... Its a disaster waiting to happen.
