Ran across your post while exploring, appropriately enough. While I don't know much about the ghost lights, I have spent a lot of time in that area, and in 1973 my wife and I had a VERY strange experience out near Dos Cabezas, which involved a very bright and silent light from directly overhead. I've explored a few caves out in the desert, mostly wind caves in the granite ridges, but also some of the mud caves like in your video. What I can tell you is that the entire San Diego County area has many, many ancient mysteries which very few people know about, and those who do, don't say much. Hint: drive up the 15 just north of Escondido and look toward your left. You'll see Mesa Rock, a 50-ft standing rock that most geologists call a natural feature. It is only one of many anomalies across the band of North County that stretches all the way to the desert and beyond. If you're really lucky you might find someone who's been inside the Alvarado Cave, near San Diego State University.

You won't find anyone online who knows about the Alvarado Cave. I've searched, and it seems that my buddies and I were probably about the last to explore it in the 60s. It is near Fairmount Ave. and Montezuma, on the southeast, high up on the hill. Here's a link to some photos of the Mesa Rock complex: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...3&l=72d77ab7bc
