Hi guys,

Im actually posting this for a friend, so I will try to be as descriptive as possible.

She is graduating in May and is coming from Missouri to work at a financial institution (can't remember the name) and will have a salary of $50,000 to live off of.

I believe her office is located 2 miles north of downtown San Diego, but she would like to live in a decently priced area outside of the city, hopefully in between orange county and SD.

She is looking for a studio apartment and would like to spend less than $1000 for a room.

she had been to L.A. Several times but only once to SD for her interview.

Would you mind providing me with the names of several burbs or towns within a 20 mile radius of northern San Diego where she might be able to live?

Thank you

**EDIT: Possible areas include Oceanside/Carlsbad, Encinitas, San Marcos.

This area seems so spread out in between clusters of cities, lots of mountainous terrain Im assuming.

I am not sure why a college graduate would want to live in any of those areas.

Pacific Beach and Ocean Beach is the place twenty somethings live.

If she wants peace and quiet then UTC near La Jolla is a good choice. I am not sure about that price point though.

I live in Oceanside. It's very serene and nice, beautiful beaches, and the population seems more liberal and diverse than in San Diego proper, if that's what she's lookin' for. There are some shady areas in Oceanside though, but she can find some nice places to live, I'm sure. Encinitas is also very nice.
