San Diego Chargers to exercise team option to move to Los Angeles in 2017

Looks like we were right about greedy Spanos

What's worse than having a crappy team? Having 2 crappy teams. I had hoped that the Rams would remain alone. LA just isn't that much into football to support 2 teams. Too bad the Chargers won't move to Oakland as the Raiders move to Vegas.

I do applaud the California cities for not backing corporate welfare.

The Murph isn't good enough but they'll rent someone else's stadium. Don't let the door......

It's all a ploy IMO
The Chargers and the NFL stand to lose so much moving the team to LA.
I use think that the Chargers would move to LA for a couple of years(just enough to Annoy, and **** off Stan K) and then move to either St Louis or San Antonio.
I don't think that way anymore
The Chargers stand to lose so much by moving this team.

You mean Spanos stands to lose?

Spanos would have to probably pay rent and relocation fee or pitch in and pay a bunch and build a stadium here. I don't know which way it works out best but I have a feeling that I know.

How does the NFL lose out by not having a team in San Diego?

We don't want the Chargers here in LA, but whatever. We'll ignore them and maybe they'll go away after a few years. The NFL has gotten so used to huge taxpayer subsidies that they refuse to operate with out them now (Except in LA and NYC). NFL stadiums are probably the biggest waste of money a city can make.
