I was in OC this past January for a wedding, and really enjoyed shopping and dining at The Market Place in Irvine/Tustin as well as The Irvine Spectrum Center. Does San Diego have any similar shopping centers? other than Horton Plaza or Fashion Valley

San Diego is more like Seattle in that our fun, funky neighborhoods have unique shops, boutiques, restaurants. . .rather than the sprawling "super centers" of Orange County Try North Park, Little Italy, Gaslamp, La Jolla, Hillcrest. . . .enjoy
