I have only experienced Poway weather this last summer and we did get a few days with highs in the 90s. The thing is it is dry, I didn't notice much humidity, but of course my last 10 summers I lived in Maryland where it is extremely humid. Also, it always cools down in the evening into the night and early morning so it really isn't that bad! I think it is actually nice to get a few really hot days that make you feel like going to the pool or the beach, otherwise it is just very pleasant walking/normal outdoor activities kind of weather most of the year.

Including June in that statistic will skew it to being cooler. The hot time of year here runs from mid-July through mid-October.
