I've been to clubs all over the country, and I have to say SF is right up there with the best of them if you know when to go. If you show up on some random night with a no-name DJ, then yeah, it really doesn't compete with cities like LA/Miami/Vegas which have something going on every single night of the week. But in all honesty, I have a better time going out dancing in SF than I've had in LA because the lines tend to be much shorter and the people that are out are more interested in dancing and the music than being seen. Miami is a whole different animal though- those people don't know how to stop partying LOL

I find it humorous as well when I see posts like that. The dance scene in SF is nationally known and in some cases internationally known. Not because it's like that of other cities but because, like many other things, the Bay Area has put it's own twist and how it's done. The San Francisco Bay Area is the only place on the west coast that has a dance music scene (outside of hip-hop but that's big too). In the Techno world there is something called the San Francisco sound and it was born in the clubs and dance music scene in the Bay Area. Dance music is still popular in the Bay Area, another reason I can't wait to get back. Kinda hard to maintain such a thing without decent nightclubs and like O4kL4nD said, it's more about the music.

^This.

I love the clean natural look myself as well. I just don't how either

a: They go for the orange botox look;
or
b: they go for the stupid hipster, "let's make myself as ugly as possible" look.

Well, lots of people go to Broadway/Columbus, where they watch really friendly, pretty girls do neato gyrations, and put interesting, surprising things right in your face, and people get to put money in places that would make ladies elsewhere a bit miffed. Too bad those who enter with money usually exit without.

Usually is when you have a sausage fest rant about girls who live in an entire city/metro, etc. People who complain about these sort of dating issues or what ever often don't realize the common denominator is themselves.

You don't even live in the Bay Area so why do you care?

You can find some very beautiful girls in the Mission. But I'll have to check out the Marina.

But sometimes a cigar, is a cigar. I know beautiful women when I see them and I know when they are none. There's really nothing wrong with that.
